UPDATE, 1/13/25 - An email was just released that shows the extent to which some members of PYLUSD, Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud and Romo law attorneys (brough in by Marilyn Anderson), and the PYLUSD School Board will go in order to damage OCSCS.  In this email thread, the acting superintendent is talking about OCSCS Principal Beth Fisher's request to be present for the closed door session about OCSCS.  The email shows Gray referencing a comment from Sukhi "the charter slayer" as creating a common enemy out of charter schools with the intent of swaying Tricia Quintero's vote.

You can read the original request from Dr. Fisher to be present in closed session, the response from Acting Superintendent Gray, as well as Dr. Fisher's response to this Acting Superintendent Gray's message below.

This email should INFURIATE parents in PYLUSD, as there is clearly a faction trying to sway the independent votes of PYLUSD board members by working a lawyer know as a "charter slayer" to bring down a PYLUSD DISTRICT SCHOOL because they simply do not want charters.  This is unethical at a MINIMUM and potentially in violation of the law.

In light of this letter, it is CRITICAL that parents and students (if they are comfortable) attend the open sessions tomorrow at 3:30PM and 6:00PM (you will need to fill out a form prior to these times if you would like to speak) to tell the board how OCSCS is an asset to the district and they should be PROUD of its accomplishments in such a short time rather than doing everything they can to destroy the school!

UPDATE, 1/11/25 - Marilyn Anderson has changed the OCSCS portion of the next meeting to a closed session at 3:30pm specifically so that most members of the community cannot attend, and are hiding behind “proposed litigation” which is likely a ruse - there is no litigation on the school. If you have any ability to show up at 3:30 so support the school, and speak out against what she and Carrie Buck are doing, please do so. Never have there been people more opposed to your child getting a quality education than these two women, and the public needs to speak out against them.
